"Teen Shoot" Campaign

We have a brand new “Teen Shoot” Marketing Campaign beginning soon.

These will be similiar to our Senior Portrait Shoots, just more of a mini session shoot for you younger "girls who wanta have some fun"!!! What girl doesn't deserve a little "modely", "rad fad", photo shoot now and then!!

We will have a few “Street Posse” representatives that will be available to show off their photo books to you in the next few weeks. The “Teen Shoot” targets girls between the ages of 12 and 15 who would like to get some really cool shots and great pictures to keep. From your session you will receive a photo book with 15 pictures and a disc with the same 15 images (with a copyright release) to use on Facebook, for prints, etc. The cost of each individual Teen Shoot is $75.00 and you may bring as many outfits to wear as you like. You can also bring your friends along and add in some group shots for an additional $25.00. You will receive an additional 5 images from the group shots.

Refer friends to us and receive credit towards additional prints from our studio!!

This precious angel is very close to my heart!! Meet Kenzi Grace Sharon!!!! Presli has been waiting 9 months for Kenzi to arrive. Her mommy is a very close friend; not to mention Presli's former babysitter. I had the luxury to take Kenzi's photos when she was only 6 days old. I had forgotten how wonderful it was to snuggle and love on a tiny baby for such a long time. I loved her newborn baby smell and her super soft baby skin. I could have kissed on Kenzi all day long!! Whew, it has been busy here at the studio. There is still time to schedule your childrens' Easter portraits with our beautiful little Bunny. We are enjoying the gorgeous sunshine and signs of Spring that are filling the air. We have several nice spots outside the studio to get great outdoor shots. We sprang for an awesome new bench that we ran across last weekend while shopping, and just couldn't leave the store without. The weeping willow is blooming like crazy and will be ready very soon for use. It's also bridal season and we have booked several weddings in the last week or two. We would love to talk with you if you are planning a wedding. We customize all wedding packages to fit what each "bride and groom" are looking for. We then work with you to come up with a price that everyone is happy with. Enjoy this lovely weather that is coming our way...after the winter we all endured, it is so refreshing!!

WOW, we have had a fantastic weekend with Bam Bam the Bunny! Brody came in to have some play time with our baby bunny. He had so much fun today.

You have probably seen Brody on this blog before. His mom and I use to work together. I have been photographing Brody since he was born. He is now 9 months old. It is amazing how time flies.

I love bare baby portraits. This is the perfect age to capture these fun photos. Well, as long as you can keep up with them!! He took off after I captured this shot. Thanks Beth, can't wait for Brody's 1st birthday!!!

Little Miss Riley came to visit me on Saturday. Her daddy brought her in for her shoot even though her mommy had to be out of town. What a daddy!!! He was so sweet and loving. She is a huge daddy's girl and it shows as soon as she hears his voice.

This was an amazing family. The Follmar boys were so handsome and well-behaved. I had so much fun with them.

I have had several clients ask about Fall portraits. I have Saturday the 17th open with some slots in the afternoon. I can do early morning appointments on Saturday the 24th. Halloween has really just snuck up on me, some people have inquired about costume photos. I can do 30 minute sessions on Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th from 4:30- 7:00. All Fall and/or Halloween sets will be $15 per sheet. The Halloween pictues will be taken on a white background unless another color is requested to enhance costume. Call the studio due to limited time slots.

What a Saturday we had around the studio!! It started out rainy and gloomy. I was afraid Emily's shoot was going to get rained out, but thank goodness it cleared up and I was able to capture the beautiful side of Emily. She is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too. I have known Emily and her mom for some time now and I was so glad to photograph her today. She has grown into a gorgeous young girl!

Meet Keelyn !! His mom, dad, and sister Ky brought him to get his newborn portraits taken. He was so sweet and wide awake. It is very rare to get newborns to keep their eyes open for the entire photo shoot, but Keelyn sure did. I was hoping to be able to shoot a sleeping baby pose, but he was too awake. Thanks Amber for bringing Keelyn in this morning!!

School is back in session and I am getting back in the normal routine. Kids are loving school!! Both of them are at Laurel Hill School this year. Tanner is in the 6th grade and Presli is in Pre-K.

I have had some great shoots lately. I went to Eden State Park for a senior shoot and did a beautiful wedding at The Landing in FWB.

Next weekend is packed with newborns, head shots, and a 3 month old. I will be sure to post soon. I did decide to change my design on the blog and I have had a blast working on it. Have a great week!!!

Hello again!! I have been taking some time off to spend quality time with the kiddos before we go back to school. Rest time is over; school starts on Monday for me and the following Monday for Tanner and Presli.
I started this week off with a fabulous senior shoot. This is Skye. She is our senior rep from CHS. We have just begun her photos. I have a few teasers for you and lots more great ones to come.

I was very lucky to spend Sunday afternoon with a wonderful family. This is my former principal and her lovely family. They were celebrating Father's Day a week late. She lives in an amazing location. I would love to live out there; long drive ways winding with huge oak trees far away from civilization. This is one of the cutest little gals I have met in a long time. She was a ham for the camera!! She came with her new baby brother Brody to have his newborn pictures made; but we started with her. Most 5 year old children try to give a fake smile for the camera, well I wasn't going to let that happen. We started playing around to get her more comfortable and talking about Brody. She and I discussed her changing his stinky diapers; that was when the real smiles came and I started clicking the camera.

Here they are together!!! He did sleep for a lot of the pictures. Which makes some of the sweetest pictures.

She is a great big sister! She held Brody so perfect and still.

Here is Brody wide awake; he even tried to sneak a smile in for mommy and daddy.

Babies are so sweet! I just love how they still curl up and just want to be close to you. Beth treasure every sweet and tender minute with baby Brody.

Introducing Brianna!!!

Here she is, Brianna Vickers. She was 7 days old on the day of this shoot. I just love photographing newborns. They just curl and move however you need them. Brianna was so sweet and did not care at all what we did to her.

Now, the only thing she does not like is taking off her diaper; so we just kept it on and covered it up most of the time.

I would just love to be able to lay atop a soft, squishy stack of towels!!

Last but not least, Daddy's little girl. She is almost smiling.

I was very lucky to spend last Saturday morning with the sweetest family. I have watched Anna grow into a beautiful little angel.

Mom and Dad were able to sneak away for some shots of themselves. Anna sat in my lap and helped me take their pictures.

We went to a private lake to shoot some of their pictures. This lake and property was amazing. I would love to live there.

Daddy and Anna all by themselves. She is a real daddy's girl,

Baby Makes Three!!!

Something must have been in the water about three months ago. I have photographed several mommies-to-be who are all due within the first two weeks of June. This is such a sweet and loving couple. Beth is soooooooo ready for her precious baby girl to arrive. I can't wait to meet Addison Hope in a few weeks. Talking to expectant moms always brings a smile to my face. I absolutely LOVED being pregnant. I love the kicking, wiggling, and yes even the sudden urges to run to the nearest restroom. Being a mom is a extraordinary gift for someone to experience.

Happy first Saturday in May!! I have had a great weekend. After 2 long field days this last week; I had a relaxing morning with the sweetest couple. They are having a baby girl in 5 weeks. Chrissy came very prepared with exactly what she wanted. Of course she and I talked a few days before the shoot and we discussed possible ideas and outfits. As for her husband, he did just as he was told. Good job Martin.

Little Brianna will be a beautiful angel when she arrives.

This sweet little bun in the oven has been breach for the last several times mom has gone to the doctor. Thank goodness, this last week she flipped herself around and she is well on her way home.

Here's the ironic thing about this couple. They rent a house from us and the room they are using as the nursery is Tanner's old room. I had decorated Tanner's room in Classic Winnie the Pooh 10 1/2 years ago. Now she is getting her nursery ready and guess what; it is Classic Winnie the Pooh. I told Chrissy this is a wonderful coincidence.

It has been awhile since I have updated this blog. It has been a whirlwind around here at home and at the studio. I hardly ever take the entire weekend and just spend at home with the kids. Well that is exactly what I did this past weekend. Tanner had another mile race on Saturday and he came in 3rd. If I am not mistaken he made his best time with this race.

Yes, they really do love each other!! She was cheering and yelling for Tanner the whole race. I can't wait till field day next Monday.

Presli actually stopped moving long enough for me to snap a quick shot of her. She is so full of life and energy. If I could bottle just an ounce of her energy, I bet people would want to buy it.

We have tons of berry bushes growing all over our land. Since we have had a good bit of rain this year, we have one huckleberry bush that has ripe berries. While Tracy and I were pressure washing the house, the kids found the bush. Presli was so excited she could reach the higher branches this year. Tanner better watch out; she can reach more berries!!

The race was at the Old Spanish Trail festival site. There was a petting zoo with horses. Presli rode her first horse and I was there with the camera. She had a BLAST!!

This title says it all!!! We were shooting photos for a magazine this last weekend. Ooh La La is putting an advertisement in the magazine Bella. This is Candis, the manager of the Crestview location and her husband Josh. They are such a gorgeous couple. I am not posting the photo we will be using in the magazine, but here are some others we really liked.

WOW what a week!!! We have not slowed down yet, but I did want to share a few samples with you. I'm so happy that it is spring! This is always the prettiest time of year to get outside and get some great pictures.

This is Maddie. She came last weekend to have some fun with Caramel and Ella. Then we went outside to catch some great shots of her swinging.

Meet McKinnley!! I grew up with her father. It was great to see him with his little angel. I think it is sweet to see dads taking so much time with their little girls. McKinnley is 2 1/2 months old, has the sweetest personality, and did I mention she is absolutely beautiful!

Here is Austin! I have shared lots of photos of this little dude. His grandmother is one of my closest friends. She and PePaw brought Austin to play with the bunnies. He is a little flirt. When Austin smiles, he lights up the room.

These next children were so much fun. A teacher friend of mine brought her daughter and two cousins in for pictures. Their grandmother had coordinated all their clothes, so we could take some "old time" shots.

I wish I could share lots of pictures with you of this handsome fellow, but I have too many. He is a natural. Usually I play with the children to get them warmed up; I like to catch them "just being themselves". Well, with this little guy, I did not have to work hard at all. He ran the show and told me what he wanted to do. "Hmmm", maybe he can come work for us when he is older.

Little Miss Meadows will make a great mommy someday. She was so concerned to make sure her bear was having fun and liked the flowers. She just played and I got some beautiful shots of her.

Courtney was a blast. She is in kindergarten and is a "chatty dollbaby". After spending only a few minutes with Courtney, I realized how smart she is. Her first grade teacher will love her next year. She gives the impression of someone who will become a great writer in school. She is also one "very photogenic" young lady. I've had the honor of photographing her several times and she doesn't take a bad picture.

Bunnies, Bunnies and More Bunnies!

WOW, what a weekend we had!!! We had our Relay for Life bunny pictures on Saturday. OMG, let me tell you, we started shooting at 8:00 and finished up at 5:15. There were appointments every 15 min with one break for lunch. I have huge THANK YOU'S to send out to Sheila, Erika, and Alicia. I couldn't have done it without you. Surprisingly, the day went so much smoother than I had anticipated. I just knew the bunnies would get tired, or we would get backed up, but not one incident. ONCE AGAIN NO POOP!!! Caramel and Ella are the best natured bunnies I have ever had. YES, we are keeping these too. How can I give away a bunny who will climb up your shoulder and kiss your chin? I can't. Not only did the bunnies have to work on Saturday, they had to work on Sunday too. Well, I am giving them a few days off this week. I do not know if they will get to rest since Presli likes to play with them every chance she gets.

Of course I did not get away without Presli sneaking in on some shots. During our lunch, she changed clothes and said "I am ready."

If you know Kerin, she is always laughing and smiling. I smile every time I see her bright eyes light up.

This is her oldest sister Holly. They came to take some pictures with the bunnies, but we decided to take it in a different direction with Holly. She is so much fun. I love helping people plan outfits and coming out of their shell. Well Holly has it all together!!! All I have to do is pick up the camera and she is totally ready. These are her favorite "Big Blue Sunglasses". Her mom says she would sleep in them if she could.

NO POOP!!!! If you have ever worked with live animals you know sooner or later one of the animals will relieve itself. I had two different shoots this afternoon with 6 different children. The bunnies were great!!! I think these two bunnies are the sweetest ones we have ever had.

Erin was so cute!!! She was going to hold him away from her pretty dress.

Matthew was an absolutely charming little man. I rarely see 3 year old children who follow directions so well.

OH WHAT BIG FEET YOU HAVE!!!! We might have to rename this little guy to Thumper!!

Tomorrow starts the big bunny fun. We received our bunnies this weekend. Oh my goodness they are sooooooo sweet. Tanner named the boy Caramel, can you guess what color he is? As for the little girl bunny, Presli has changed her name several times. She started out as Ella, then she was Singa. She has now been, Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Tinkerella, Ponga, and Presliella. It really doesn't matter what her name is; she is wonderful.

I will be shooting our Easter pictures at the studio everyday this week. I have one time slot left on Wednesday. Saturday we will be taking pictures at Walker for the Relay for Life fundraiser. Then I have a few slots left next Tuesday and Thursday. The following Saturday, March 21, there are some afternoon slots. The last day for the bunnies will be on Saturday March 28.

I will have a few shots tomorrow to share with you.

Presli is turning 4 on Wednesday. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite pictures from my slide show on my computer. She has grown so fast. I can still remember going to the hospital to be induced in labor. It was just like when I had Tanner; the doctor told Tracy it would be awhile so he could go get some food. He had barely made it to the cafeteria when I had to call him and tell him to come back, she was ready. Surprise, Surprise Tracy was not the only person who was out of pocket. My doctor was in surgery because she thought there would be time. Well, I had to wait 50 minutes to have her. The nurse would not even let me laugh. Let me tell you it was hard. Anyway I have rambled enough. I just wanted to share these.

Last night was The Miss Walker Pageant. All the proceeds go to our Relay for Life team. We had a blast. The theme this year was the 80's. Boy does that bring back memories. I really enjoy reliving my youth, only if it was for one night. Here are some fun shots from last night. These are all teachers at Walker.

Here are some shots of Tanner running at the Davidson Dash last week. He enjoys running so much. You really should see him run. He talks to the runners while running, he waves at his friends. I wish I could run so effortlessly.

This is Hannah. Isn't she just gorgeous? Hannah came to have some headshots taken for an upcoming pageant.

Look at her beautiful strawberry blonde hair. This green shirt she picked out just made her eyes sparkle. Green looks great on people with this hair color. We also took some cool shots of her in her pageant dress, but you will have to wait to see them after the pageant.

This weekend was so much fun!! Tanner ran a 1 mile race on Saturday and he ran it in 7 minutes!! He is such an awesome runner. You should see him; he makes it look so easy. Not me, I would be passing out. I have some photos of him I will post this week. My children love it when I share their photos. We also worked in our garden; Tanner and Presli love to help plant our vegetables. We planted 11 rows of potatoes on Saturday. I can't wait for them to produce. Forget planting, I like to eat them!!

Just a reminder to everyone about the Easter portrait sessions. We will be scheduling the appointments March 9-15. I am shooting at Walker on the 14th of March for Relay for Life and have run out of appointment times. With that said, I will be making appointments at the studio in the afternoons during the week and on Sunday. Friday March 13, is already full. If you want to get your Easter portraits with the bunny, please call before the time slots are gone. I will have the set still set up during the month of March, but will probably not have the bunny. I have kept the bunnies for the last few years and a few of them have not made it. It really tears us up when something happens to them. The last bunny we had was Patches and she was so sweet. We would bring her in the house and she would just go to sleep in Presli's lap. Unfortunately one day the cage did not get closed well and she hopped out in the woods. So I am reluctant to keep this year's bunny. I am thinking about giving it away. If anyone would like to have it, just give me a call.

Meet Lily!! I have known her family since I was 7 years old. WOW!! Her grandmother worked at Bob Sikes Elementary during my elementary days. When I started working at Walker, I met her mom and older sister. Lily is one of the sweetest, smartest girls you could ever meet. I have watched her grow from a little girl to a young girl. Her grandparents just celebrated their 50 year wedding anniversary. All of their children and their families came to help celebrate and we had fun taking shots of the families. Of course we had to take the whole group, all 15 of them and I was so surprised, everyone had their eyes open!

I had a blast with this family; someone was always cracking up. Even in this shot he could not stop laughing. Look close and you can see he could not hide his gum!

The family photos would not have been complete without taking some gorgeous shots of Lily's older sister, Ariel. She is so stunning! I could take pictures of her all day. I took a lot of shots with this family and this beauty hardly ever changed. As we were previewing their proofs, her family was shocked that she was perfect in every picture. OK, we all know that no one is perfect and we did find a shot or two where she might have closed one eye, but she can model for me anyday!!!!

Bella is one of my best friend's daughter. She just celebrated her 3rd birthday. I remember the day she was born very well, because I was so sick I could not be at the hospital.

The many faces of Presli!!

This weekend Presli wanted to take some Valentine pictures. So I agreed it would be a great idea. Why not? I don't get to take as many pictures of my own children. Well by the end of the shoot, I had decided I love my children dearly, but it is easier to take pictures of other children. Presli is very independent, so she decided what the picture was to look like. Enjoy!!!

I can remember what she was saying during this shot. "Mommy, look I can touch my ear with my foot!"

In this one, she wanted to pout and use her "puppy eyes". This was hard for her since she is always laughing and smiling.

OK this is the story here. Presli will be turning 4 on March 4. My baby is no longer a baby! We always have a special portrait taken for her birthday and then use it as her party invitation. She was dying to wear her new skirt. I love these shots and they will be great in her scrapbook. The invitation photo is not ready yet; but I will share it soon.

Amber came back for more of her senior portraits. Here are just a few. I am still working on them. She is a senior at Laurel Hill. I just love Laurel Hill; it is so family-oriented. Several of my best friends' children attend that school.

I just love ripped jeans. I would wear them daily with a comfy tee if I could get away with it.

Sugar and Spice!!

Ok, time for me to brag a little. This is Austin; his grandmother (who looks entirely too young to be a granny) is one of my best friends in the whole world. Austin has just recovered from a nasty case of RSV and is feeling much better. So we were definitely ready to take some 3 months shots.

He decided to lay down on the job for a while and just chill out. Sometimes I wish I could just chill out like a baby.

Like father, like son. I think Austin is a major daddy's boy; don't worry mommy he loves you too.

What a sweet family!! Austin looks like a little man there, not a baby.

I think he likes Presli. He kept looking at her. If I am not mistaken, he was flirting with her in this one.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. You still have time to make your little sweetie's portraits. Today, a teacher friend of mine brought her little angel to take some Valentine shots. She had a bit of a runny nose, but that did not stop us from getting some unbelievable shots of her.

I could hang this one on my own wall at home.

This little sassy chic is Shelby. She was so much fun. I have known her mom forever; actually her mom probably knew me before I could even sit up. Shelby and her family came for a family portrait and some shots with her brothers. After all the family shots were taken, her mom and I had some fun with her. She has a great personality. Shelby went from sassy to angelic!

Check back this weekend; I will have more of Amber's senior portraits and a friend's grandbaby that is very close to my heart.

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and relaxing day. I spent my morning mopping. YUCK, but someone has to do it.

I would like to congratulate Sara Patti on winning the extra units. She has a 3 month old baby boy. I will have new photos of him to post next weekend.

This is Amber; she is a senior at Laurel Hill. I have been taking Amber's photogenic pictures for several years. She came in today for some new headshots for an upcoming pageant. Those pictures will remain a secret for now, but we started some of her senior shots while she was here. Thank goodness the weather was warmer today; we managed to get some great shots outside. This is just a sneak peek; she will have more soon. When the pageant is complete I will post some of her head shots; they were amazing!!

Ok, I had to share this. This morning as I was cleaning the kitchen, we heard a loud THUD!! We ran to the window and noticed a little bird had hit the window and was down for the count. Tanner immediately ran outside to check on it. He noticed that the bird was breathing and opening his eyes. Yes, if you know my kind-hearted child, we had to try to save this sweet little creature. We were able to pick it up and place it inside a cage to nurture it back to health. So I quickly grabbed the first camera I could find to take a picture of it for Tanner.

Miles turned 1!!!! Happy Birthday Miles!!!! Miles' mommy brought him to the studio to have some first birthday pictures made. I had also taken his brother's first birthday pictures. His mom was glad I had the same presents, so the boys pictures would look similar. I may be changing the wrapping on these presents soon. As you can see Miles really wanted to open them. That just gives me a reason to go shopping for wrapping paper and I love to shop for anything!!!!

I can honestly say it hit closer to home for me in the last 2 years than I would have expected. One of my best friends has beaten breast cancer and she is doing wonderfully. I have a little personal experience to share with you. Last night at dinner I broke one of my back molars. Pain, unbelievable pain!!! Today I went to the dentist to see if we could get the rather large hole in my mouth fixed. I am so lucky; I have a great dentist. He was able to work me in and now I have a temporary crown. I feel so much better, so I want to give something away!!!

Happy 1st birthday Drew!!!! What a little flirt. I could have played with Drew all day long. Drew's mom brought him this afternoon for some birthday shots. I went back to school today and it was great but I really enjoyed spending some time with this handsome little dude!! He just smiled and had so much fun. Thanks Drew for making my afternoon!!!

Sneaky little Avery!! I think she definitely has something up her sleeve. She was so happy the whole time we were taking pictures. Avery came with her parents and 2 brothers. We did quite a few different shots with the children, but boys being boys, they quickly became bored with pictures and they were ready to run around outside.

OK, OK, yes Christmas is over, but I just had to share this cutie. I have known Rylee and her mom Kimberly since Rylee was about 6 months old. Rylee and Presli are close in age and they play together sometimes at the studio. Rylee came with her mom for some Christmas shots for their cards. As you can see in this picture she was not really ready to have her picture taken, but it did not take long to get her going. Mom knows where all her tickle spots are!!!

I love shooting seniors; they are so much fun. This is Kala. She is a natural beauty. I had the pleasure to meet Kala and her sister 2 years ago. They came to take some beautiful pictures as a surprise for their mom as a Christmas present. Kala had everything so organized and ready to go. Here are a few of her pictures. There will be more to come; we have more shoots planned.

Babies, First Graders, and Seniors OH MY!!!!!

We have had some great senior shoots lately. This is just a sample of some. Hanna and I went quite a few places for her location shots. We went to the river and she got down in the cold water; such a brave and willing young lady. We also went to the railroad tracks and under the bridge for some great rustic shots. We had a blast!!!!!

Gotta love 1st graders!!!!

Most of you know that I am a first grade school teacher and LOVE IT!!! Some of my favorite customers are my students. They love to go back to school and tell their classmates they had their pictures taken at the studio with me. This is one of my little boys that keeps me young. I love Ronald (on the left) and his brother Tyler. They came with their mom and dad for some family portraits. Ronald has lots of energy like most 6 year old boys and he was a blast to work with; I love his big smiles!!!!

I promised I would have a sneak peek of the Teacup Babies. They are turning out so cute. This is Jazlin, she is the sweetest tempered child. Not to mention she is beautiful!!!!! This set will only work with small children that can hold up their head; maybe up to 6 months, unless your child is really small.

Welcome 2009!!!

We hope everyone had a great 1st day of 2009!!!! We have now updated our website, so the daily news is now the blog, look here for the great giveaways.

I would like to share some of my children's Christmas with you. One of Tanner's Christmas presents was a frog to dissect (thanks Sheila), he loved every stinky minute of it. I really mean stinky, the frog had a pretty strong smell, but it was sooooo much fun. Here is a picture of Tanner working really hard to locate the heart and the stomach.

Presli was thrilled with everything this year. I do believe that this was the best Christmas she has had. Three year olds love everything and they get so excited at the smallest things. I do think Presli liked her Barbie guitar and her Barbie bike the best.

We will have a new special this month; it is Tea Cup Babies. I will have some pictures to share with you this weekend from the shoot we have coming up.
